# Sentry Pro vs Motion Beats

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Motion Beats at 100% against Sentry Pro's 54%. Motion Beats also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5). Sentry Pro's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 5) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sentry Pro sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Motion Beats sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Motion Beats holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sentry Pro has 1K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 54% of Sentry Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of Motion Beats's.

Sentry Pro ships an update every 2 weeks, Motion Beats every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
