Music Practice Log & Tracker

You practised — but which pieces, for how long, and is it adding up? InstrLog turns every session into a logged entry, a weekly goal that fills, and a streak you won't want to break. Most practice apps are lesson libraries with a log bolted on. InstrLog is the opposite: log-first. Start the timer, play, save — the entry records your instrument, minutes, the piece you worked on and a note about what to fix tomorrow. Around that log sit exactly the tools a practising musician needs: a metronome that keeps clicking with the screen locked, a tempo trainer, and a reference tuner. Nothing else in the way. WHAT YOU GET • Tap Start, play, tap Save — the timer logs exactly what you played, down to the minute, even if your phone locks mid-session • A weekly goal ring that greets you with "40 min to go" the moment you open the app • A streak counter that warns "12 days — still alive, practise today to extend it" • A metronome from 40 to 240 BPM with tap tempo and 2/4 to 6/4 time that keeps time with the screen off • A tempo trainer that steps a passage from slow to performance tempo without you ever stopping • Repertoire cards that move each piece from Learning to Polishing to Performance Ready, with a target tempo and its own practice history PERFECT FOR • Guitar, piano and violin students whose teacher asks "how much did you practise this week?" • Adult learners fitting 20-minute sessions around work and family • Players preparing a recital, exam or audition piece up to a target tempo • Anyone who has lost a practice habit before and wants a streak worth defending WHY NOT JUST A NOTES APP? A note can't time your session, can't total your week by instrument, can't click at 96 BPM with the screen off, and can't tell you your streak dies at midnight. InstrLog does all four before Notes has even opened. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Every entry stays on your iPhone. No account, no cloud upload, no analytics on your playing. The tuner plays reference tones for you to match by ear — it never listens through the microphone. FULL ACCESS InstrLog requires a subscription and unlocks the complete app: unlimited practice logging and repertoire pieces, per-piece history, the tempo trainer, all 49 chromatic reference pitches from C2 to C6, and daily practice reminders. Choose a weekly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Download InstrLog, set this week's goal, and log tonight's first session.
