# Met Opera vs MicFinder

Met Opera and MicFinder both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of MicFinder's written reviews are positive against 57% of Met Opera's. MicFinder also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Met Opera's advantage is ratings volume (4.2K vs 5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Met Opera against 4.8 for MicFinder. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Met Opera has 4.2K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 57% of Met Opera's written reviews are positive against 100% of MicFinder's.

Met Opera ships an update fortnightly, MicFinder every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
