# Poki vs Flashcards

The clearest difference is ads: Poki at none against Flashcards's shown. Poki also leads on ratings volume (99 vs 2). Flashcards's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Poki sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Flashcards sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.90 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flashcards holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Poki has 99 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Poki's written reviews are positive against 50% of Flashcards's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Poki ships an update every 6 days, Flashcards weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
