# Poki vs Cognito

The clearest difference is rating: Poki at 4.6 against Cognito's 4.0. Poki also leads on ratings volume (99 vs 2) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). Cognito's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 54%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 days). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Poki sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Cognito sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Poki holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Poki has 99 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Poki's written reviews are positive against 67% of Cognito's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Poki ships an update every 6 days, Cognito every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
