# Freeplay vs Givvy

The clearest difference is rating: Freeplay at 3.8 against Givvy's 1.0. Freeplay also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Givvy's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Freeplay holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Freeplay has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 0% and 0% positive.

Freeplay ships an update every 3 weeks, Givvy every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
