# Forever Lighting vs Oelo Evolution

The clearest difference is rating: Forever Lighting at 4.8 against Oelo Evolution's 4.0. Oelo Evolution's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 50%) and ratings volume (21 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Forever Lighting holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Oelo Evolution has 21 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Forever Lighting's written reviews are positive against 68% of Oelo Evolution's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Forever Lighting ships an update monthly, Oelo Evolution every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
