# Kirani vs Phoenix

The clearest difference is rating: Phoenix at 4.2 against Kirani's 3.0. Phoenix also leads on review sentiment (68% vs 33%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 months). Kirani's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Phoenix holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Phoenix has 16K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Kirani's written reviews are positive against 68% of Phoenix's.

Kirani ships an update every 3 months, Phoenix every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
