# USB Camera pro vs HDMI

The clearest difference is ads: HDMI at none against USB Camera pro's shown. HDMI also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). USB Camera pro's advantage is rating (3.2 vs 2.9). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

USB Camera pro holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HDMI has 72 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of USB Camera pro's written reviews are positive against 52% of HDMI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

USB Camera pro ships an update every 2 months, HDMI every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
