# HotNovel vs Ringdom

The clearest difference is review sentiment: HotNovel at 92% against Ringdom's 13%. HotNovel also leads on rating (4.8 vs 2.4) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks). Ringdom's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HotNovel sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Ringdom sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HotNovel holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HotNovel has 219 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 92% of HotNovel's written reviews are positive against 13% of Ringdom's.

HotNovel ships an update every 9 days, Ringdom every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
