# Owll vs TCTEC

The clearest difference is rating: Owll at 4.8 against TCTEC's 4.0. Owll also leads on ratings volume (3.1K vs 4) and chart position (#68 vs unranked). TCTEC's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 66%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Owll sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and TCTEC sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Owll holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Owll has 3.1K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Owll's written reviews are positive against 100% of TCTEC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Owll ships an update fortnightly, TCTEC every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
