# Owll vs Whale Echo

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Owll at 3.1K against Whale Echo's 1. Owll also leads on chart position (#54 vs unranked) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Owll sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Whale Echo sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Whale Echo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Owll has 3.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Owll ships an update fortnightly, Whale Echo weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
