# Owll vs Screen Recorder

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Screen Recorder at 100% against Owll's 66%. Screen Recorder also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). Owll's advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 1) and chart position (#64 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Owll sells 22 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Screen Recorder sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen Recorder holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Owll has 3.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 66% of Owll's written reviews are positive against 100% of Screen Recorder's.

Owll ships an update fortnightly, Screen Recorder every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
