# Magic Eraser vs AI Video Eraser

The clearest difference is monetization model: Magic Eraser at free with in-app purchases against AI Video Eraser's subscription. Magic Eraser also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly) and device support (4 vs 2). AI Video Eraser's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (29% vs 17%). On price, rating and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic Eraser sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and AI Video Eraser sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Magic Eraser against 4.3 for AI Video Eraser. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Video Eraser has 195 ratings behind it against 36, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 17% of Magic Eraser's written reviews are positive against 29% of AI Video Eraser's.

Magic Eraser ships an update every 5 days, AI Video Eraser fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
