# Race Modeller vs Hoist

The clearest difference is update cadence: Hoist at every 9 days against Race Modeller's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Race Modeller sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $999.99 per year and Hoist sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
