# LEION vs Halliday DWG

The clearest difference is rating: LEION at 4.7 against Halliday DWG's 2.1. LEION also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Halliday DWG's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (13% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LEION holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Halliday DWG has 25 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of LEION's written reviews are positive against 13% of Halliday DWG's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LEION ships an update every 2 months, Halliday DWG every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
