# VPN Lite vs Opti VPN

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Opti VPN at 67% against VPN Lite's 28%. Opti VPN also leads on ads (none vs shown). VPN Lite's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Lite sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per 7 days and Opti VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN Lite holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 19 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of VPN Lite's written reviews are positive against 67% of Opti VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
