# Mlem for Lemmy vs Infinity for Reddit

The clearest difference is rating: Mlem for Lemmy at 4.6 against Infinity for Reddit's 3.7. Mlem for Lemmy also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ratings volume (84 vs 15). Infinity for Reddit's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (18.1 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Infinity for Reddit sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Mlem for Lemmy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mlem for Lemmy holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mlem for Lemmy has 84 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Mlem for Lemmy's written reviews are positive against 86% of Infinity for Reddit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
