# Cross VPN vs Oversecure VPN

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Oversecure VPN at 80% against Cross VPN's 0%. Oversecure VPN also leads on ratings volume (21 vs 1). Cross VPN's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.4) and monetization model (freemium vs subscription). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cross VPN sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Oversecure VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cross VPN holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Oversecure VPN has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Cross VPN's written reviews are positive against 80% of Oversecure VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cross VPN ships an update every 5 days, Oversecure VPN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
