# Custom Transfers vs Printer App

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Custom Transfers at 100% against Printer App's 33%. Custom Transfers also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). Printer App's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (27 vs 4). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Printer App sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Custom Transfers asks for nothing beyond the download.

Printer App holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Printer App has 27 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Custom Transfers's written reviews are positive against 33% of Printer App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Custom Transfers ships an update every 4 days, Printer App every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
