# Linxy Live vs HotSpot

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Linxy Live at 57 against HotSpot's 3. Linxy Live also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.2). HotSpot's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Linxy Live against 5.0 for HotSpot. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Linxy Live has 57 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Linxy Live ships an update fortnightly, HotSpot every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
