# Desiproxy vs VPN

The clearest difference is rating: VPN at 5.0 against Desiproxy's 4.5. VPN also leads on ads (none vs shown). Desiproxy's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (13 vs 2). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Desiproxy asks for nothing beyond the download.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Desiproxy has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Desiproxy ships an update every 5 weeks, VPN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
