# Stopwatch vs RecTool

The clearest difference is update cadence: Stopwatch at every 3 weeks against RecTool's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stopwatch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and RecTool sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stopwatch ships an update every 3 weeks, RecTool every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
