# Smarters Pro vs TV Smart Player

The clearest difference is rating: Smarters Pro at 4.5 against TV Smart Player's 3.5. Smarters Pro also leads on ratings volume (8.9K vs 561) and device support (4 vs 1). TV Smart Player's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smarters Pro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per year and TV Smart Player sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Smarters Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smarters Pro has 8.9K ratings behind it against 561, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 14% of Smarters Pro's written reviews are positive against 13% of TV Smart Player's.

Smarters Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, TV Smart Player every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
