# Smarters Pro vs Flight Deck FMS

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Flight Deck FMS at 100% against Smarters Pro's 14%. Flight Deck FMS also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Smarters Pro's advantage is ratings volume (8.9K vs 5) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smarters Pro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per year and Flight Deck FMS sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Smarters Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smarters Pro has 8.9K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 14% of Smarters Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flight Deck FMS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Smarters Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, Flight Deck FMS every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
