# Smarters Pro vs EffDat

The clearest difference is ads: EffDat at none against Smarters Pro's shown. EffDat also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). Smarters Pro's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smarters Pro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per year and EffDat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
