The clearest difference is update cadence: DayDrop at every 5 days against IC DayPlanner's every 15 months. DayDrop also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

IC DayPlanner ships an update every 15 months, DayDrop every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
