# KSPlayer播放器 vs Chroma

The clearest difference is price: Chroma at Free against KSPlayer播放器's $0.29. Chroma also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly). KSPlayer播放器's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Chroma is free to download; KSPlayer播放器 costs $0.29 up front. KSPlayer播放器 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Chroma sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chroma holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KSPlayer播放器 has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of KSPlayer播放器's written reviews are positive against 62% of Chroma's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

KSPlayer播放器 ships an update fortnightly, Chroma every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
