# Finder vs Real Secure SMS

The clearest difference is update cadence: Real Secure SMS at every 6 months against Finder's every 15 months. Finder's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Finder sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Real Secure SMS sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Finder ships an update every 15 months, Real Secure SMS every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
