# Kill The Ravan vs Brain Train

The clearest difference is rating: Brain Train at 5.0 against Kill The Ravan's 3.6. Brain Train also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). Kill The Ravan's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kill The Ravan sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Brain Train sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brain Train holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kill The Ravan has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Kill The Ravan ships an update fortnightly, Brain Train every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
