# SuperX vs CipherApp

The clearest difference is rating: CipherApp at 5.0 against SuperX's 4.0. CipherApp also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months). SuperX's advantage is ratings volume (19 vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SuperX sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. CipherApp asks for nothing beyond the download.

CipherApp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SuperX has 19 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SuperX ships an update every 8 months, CipherApp fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
