# SuperX vs Floathing

The clearest difference is rating: Floathing at 5.0 against SuperX's 4.0. Floathing also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months). SuperX's advantage is ratings volume (20 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SuperX sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Floathing sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.29 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Floathing holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SuperX has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SuperX ships an update every 5 months, Floathing every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
