# 智谱清言 vs DeepSeek

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DeepSeek at none against 智谱清言's 24. DeepSeek also leads on rating (3.9 vs 3.4) and ratings volume (12K vs 45). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 智谱清言 sells 24 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. DeepSeek asks for nothing beyond the download.

DeepSeek holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DeepSeek has 12K ratings behind it against 45, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of 智谱清言's written reviews are positive against 52% of DeepSeek's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

智谱清言 ships an update every 4 days, DeepSeek every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
