# Nutshell vs Tasks for Notion

Nutshell and Tasks for Notion both sit at 4.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 65% of Nutshell's written reviews are positive against 12% of Tasks for Notion's. Nutshell also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (18 vs 26.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nutshell sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Tasks for Notion sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tasks for Notion holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 35 and 62 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Nutshell's written reviews are positive against 12% of Tasks for Notion's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Nutshell ships an update weekly, Tasks for Notion every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
