# Nutshell vs LogicNotes

The clearest difference is rating: LogicNotes at 5.0 against Nutshell's 4.0. LogicNotes also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 65%). Nutshell's advantage is ratings volume (34 vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nutshell sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and LogicNotes sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LogicNotes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nutshell has 34 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of Nutshell's written reviews are positive against 100% of LogicNotes's.

Nutshell ships an update weekly, LogicNotes every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
