# Plunge vs Selection

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Selection at 100% against Plunge's 41%. Selection also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and device support (4 vs 2). Plunge's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 18). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Selection holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Plunge has 1.8K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 41% of Plunge's written reviews are positive against 100% of Selection's.

Plunge ships an update every 3 weeks, Selection every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
