# Typely vs Quil

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Quil at none against Typely's 3. Quil also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks). Typely's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Typely sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Quil asks for nothing beyond the download.

Quil holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Typely has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
