# StrongFirst vs Bar Breaker

The clearest difference is rating: Bar Breaker at 5.0 against StrongFirst's 3.6. StrongFirst's advantage is ratings volume (28 vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StrongFirst sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Bar Breaker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bar Breaker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StrongFirst has 28 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

StrongFirst ships an update every 3 weeks, Bar Breaker every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
