# PPScreen vs JotDay

The clearest difference is rating: JotDay at 4.7 against PPScreen's 4.3. JotDay also leads on ratings volume (21 vs 6). PPScreen's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PPScreen sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and JotDay sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

JotDay holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 21 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of PPScreen's written reviews are positive against 86% of JotDay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PPScreen ships an update every 3 weeks, JotDay monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
