# PPScreen vs App Blocker

PPScreen and App Blocker both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of PPScreen's written reviews are positive against 63% of App Blocker's. PPScreen also leads on ads (none vs shown). App Blocker's advantage is ratings volume (84 vs 6) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PPScreen sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and App Blocker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for PPScreen against 4.4 for App Blocker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: App Blocker has 84 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of PPScreen's written reviews are positive against 63% of App Blocker's.

PPScreen ships an update every 3 weeks, App Blocker every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
