# Security Camera vs PetRecord

The clearest difference is update cadence: PetRecord at every 3 weeks against Security Camera's every 2 months. Security Camera's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Security Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and PetRecord sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Security Camera ships an update every 2 months, PetRecord every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
