# Spark Mindset vs Self

The clearest difference is ads: Self at none against Spark Mindset's shown. Spark Mindset's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spark Mindset sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Self sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spark Mindset ships an update fortnightly, Self every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
