# Notepad by Subject vs PrimeNote

The clearest difference is ads: PrimeNote at none against Notepad by Subject's shown. Notepad by Subject's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notepad by Subject sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and PrimeNote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
