# Beem vs VirtuFriends

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Beem at 100% against VirtuFriends's 56%. Beem also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). VirtuFriends's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (53 vs 3). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Beem sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and VirtuFriends sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Beem holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VirtuFriends has 53 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Beem's written reviews are positive against 56% of VirtuFriends's.

Beem ships an update every 4 days, VirtuFriends weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
