# Flashcards Maker vs Rex

The clearest difference is rating: Rex at 5.0 against Flashcards Maker's 4.4. Rex also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks). Flashcards Maker's advantage is ratings volume (34 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flashcards Maker sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Rex sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rex holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flashcards Maker has 34 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Flashcards Maker ships an update every 6 weeks, Rex every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
