# Godspeed vs Shasks

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Shasks at none against Godspeed's 3. Shasks also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Godspeed's advantage is ratings volume (18 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Godspeed sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.00 per month. Shasks asks for nothing beyond the download.

Shasks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Godspeed has 18 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Godspeed ships an update every 11 days, Shasks every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
