# Backgammon by Staple Games vs Backgammon AI

The clearest difference is rating: Backgammon by Staple Games at 4.6 against Backgammon AI's 4.1. Backgammon by Staple Games also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (2.5K vs 15). Backgammon AI's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Backgammon AI sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Backgammon by Staple Games asks for nothing beyond the download.

Backgammon by Staple Games holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backgammon by Staple Games has 2.5K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two.
