# PIQR vs ROD

The clearest difference is rating: PIQR at 5.0 against ROD's 3.4. PIQR also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). ROD's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ROD sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. PIQR asks for nothing beyond the download.

PIQR holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ROD has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PIQR ships an update monthly, ROD fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
