# ProxSecure VPN vs Hidy VPN

The clearest difference is ads: ProxSecure VPN at none against Hidy VPN's shown. ProxSecure VPN also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and rating (4.3 vs 4.1). Hidy VPN's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 58%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ProxSecure VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 7 days and Hidy VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $10.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ProxSecure VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 112 and 435 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of ProxSecure VPN's written reviews are positive against 68% of Hidy VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ProxSecure VPN ships an update weekly, Hidy VPN every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
