# VTV OTT vs HD Status

The clearest difference is rating: VTV OTT at 5.0 against HD Status's 3.6. VTV OTT also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and device support (3 vs 1). HD Status's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HD Status sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. VTV OTT asks for nothing beyond the download.

VTV OTT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HD Status has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VTV OTT ships an update every 5 weeks, HD Status every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
